It's kind of sad, actually. Them saying things like that about the Wii kind of offends me, since I rather enjoy it. It's almost like they're insulting me. I know that's not the intended result, but there you have it. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who will feel that way.
1) I'm still having fun playing my Wii 2) I haven't even thought about buying a PS3 and until they come down in their price, I won't. 3) Nintendo will ALWAYS blow out the competition. They understand the concept of "fun".
I had a whole rant part of which covers that, but I erased it. I don't want to rant in your comments. Maybe I'll post it on my journal.
Suffice to say, gaming has always been pretentious, especially on the corporate level. Nintendo is curently bucking that trend, and marketing to the riff-raff uninitiated every(wo)man.
In effect. They're "cheating". That creates resentment among the other players.
