Go for the boots. I've bought a pair of the purple Converse Chuck Taylors for someone recently and could so totally see you in them. Actually, they are being worn in Complete Works at the Wicked Faire.

BUT...

I know only two people that have had boots like that and they both have said that they are the most uncomfortable things in the world. One works at faire, the other does not. So, that being said, if you get them. Buy the bestest insoles you can afford! :)

I have a pair of boots similar to these. They're not quite the right size, but they were cheap as free, so it's all good. They're pretty comfy, and these'll fit better, so we'll see. Even if they're not comfy enough for faire, they're still damn cool!
