fairyruneONE WEEK UNTIL I GRADUATE! YAAAAAY!
I finished actual classes this week, all of which ended quite well. I think I did fantastically in Improv. and TV & Film, also Monologues. I'm pretty sure I'm getting an A in voice, and as for everything else, I don't know. Improv. teacher Chris is going to send me a list of places I could take additional classes, and I'm looking into taking a beginning Stage Combat course at some point in the near future, possibly in the fall.
Next week I have Mock auditions, for which I am singing "Everybody Wants to be a Cat" from the Disney cartoon The Aristocats, and "The Rainbow Connection" from The Muppet Movie. (Aside: Musical Theater Teacher/Director Marcia has NEVER seen The Muppet Movie! Can you believe that?) My monologue is about having sex with a woman, which leads into a philosophical rant about how sex has nothing to do with love. Go me for finding contrasting pieces!
Besides that we have rehearsals and dance final, which should be a breeze, then...Graduation and move-out! (Move out will be a breeze, because I brought the bulk of my shtuff home this weekend.) ::Happy Leslie Dance:: I won't be living at the Strat (aka HELL) any more! I'll get to sleep in my own bed!
