Dilemma!

A while back, I posted about how one day soon, this corset would be mine. It's a bit different from what I usually go for, but I think it's gorgeous. I was planning on having Janete make me an amethyst colored chemise to go with it. That'd look really awesome, right?

It's been out of stock in my size, but I've been checking the website faithfully and waiting.

Then, last night, I saw this one. It's purple, which is obviously more my thing. I have no idea what I'd put under it, but it's in stock in my size right now.

There's no reason I shouldn't buy the purple one now, and the green one a bit further down the line, right?

Right?

I mean. I *did* make enough in tips alone yesterday to buy one of them.

But I'm trying to save up for several things: new camera lens, new computer, down payment for a new car eventually....

HALP!

Corsets, i feel, are like shoes- and the rule with shoes is 'if you want them, buy them the first time you see them,' cause chances are they'll soon be gone. Camera Lenses are always in stock and made, as are computers and cars always go on sale (i bet the End of Year events are going to be spectacular this year).

Go for it in the Purple- and then for what to wear underneathe- you can always turn to us for ideas then too! ^_^ ((Actually, the outfit the model is in is pretty cute--- ))

I know that encouraging a splurge item like this in the economy of today is a bit anti 'save your pennies for a rainy day,' but honestly- you work so hard at all that you do that you totally deserve a little something as a reward to remind yourself of how awesome and stellar you are, and i can't think of anything better than a cute little sexy corset. ~_^

I DO like that rule! I've had to put myself on a shoe-buying hiatus, as my closet is very small and I seem to have run out of room. Corsets, on the other hand, fold flat for storage!

haha, awesome! ^_^ I was thinking about the 'saving your pennies for a rainy day' statement too and then thought of how many days it rained us out at faire yet you and the other rose sellers stand out there and hawk your wares until the last patron is gone (and sometimes even post-closing deliveries for vendors too!) and it just doubles my statement that you are so deserving of a nice little reward after working your tails off. ^_^ Wear it in good health and enjoy it!!!

I think it depends on how often you'd wear either :) vs, how often you'd use the new camera lens, or use the new computer... *grin*

I personally think if you were to get one of the corsets, to get the green one. I think the details in it make the it absolutely gorgeous. And by waiting it gives you more time to save up for the things you want which will make you feel less guilty. Good things are always worth the wait right?

As per the measurements Rich and I took, I'm a 20. We'll see how it fits when it gets here.
