i only had the internets at skewl. i didn't get them at home till I DEMANDED THEM for college, when i was 19. for a year and a half before, i like, LIVED at my computer lab. heh.
used to do chat rooms in my language lab. aww yeahhh... ;-) ditched my math class for the comp lab too. that class blew.
In the UK we got the internet much slower- we don't have any free phone lines here so it was generally expensive. Broadbnd took until the late 90s to happen, and then it rolled out gradually.
