Damn. Now I want to carve an Ood pumpkin with a mini pumpkin attached to it representing the external brain.

Somebody on the crafty_tardis LJ community did that, but they used a white tennis ball thing for the external brain because they couldn't find a white gourd. It looked pretty neat!

Sweet! I so wish I knew how to carve that way.

And I don't know if you noticed, but I was geekily excited that I was able to use an icon from 'Planet of the Ood.'

It's not that hard. They make little kits with these cute little saws that make carving fine details easier. All you have to do is tape your pattern of choice to your pumpkin, perforate the lines you want to cut out with the pokin' tool, and cut them!

I was *certain* I was going to screw this one up, but it came out just fine. :)

I DID notice your icon! It's very exciting. Makes me wish I had more room for Who-ish icons.
