Can't feel my face!

The left side of my face keeps going all numb/pins-and-needles-y on me. I believe that this is being caused by muscle tension in my neck and shoulders.

Rich rubbed my shoulders last night, and helped to stretch them out a bit, but they seem to have gone right back to where they were.

Oh, great! Now I can't feel my chin, either. THAT's fucking annoying....

Nope! Got 'em all yanked at once a couple of years back. Closest I've ever come to time travel.

probably a pinched nerve or tension, but if it doesn't go away in the next day or two, i'd get it checked. even if it is just a pinched nerve or tension, they may prescribe massage therapy...and that's never a bad thing!

I did have a pinched nerve on that side several years ago, and let me tell YOU, that hurt like a motherfucker. PT was a massage and a heat pack once a week, which was awesome.

It really feels like the tension in the muscles is restricting blood flow.

Dude. I haven't gotten to the point of numbness yet (OUCH, YO), but my neck is aching like a mofo and it's giving me the damnedest headache. Wah.

Don't you go to the chiropracter regularly? Have you ever had physical therapy?

I go as regularly as I can, considering he's in NJ and only open on weekdays -- but nope, never had physical therapy.

I LOVED my PT when I had the pinched nerve in my neck. It was a massage and a heat pack twice a week...paid for by my insurance!

Might be worth looking in to for you.

Definitely worth looking into -- but given that this is a ten-year-old injury, I don't know what the insurance folks would say about it now...
