If Sarah Palin gets into the White House, even as VP, I will be sorely tempted to move out of the country.

The woman scares the crap out of me. She has said that the war in Iraq is "God's will." I would love the opportunity to ask her what gives her the right to presume that she knows what "God's will" is.

I think she is a disgrace to American women. From what I've seen and read, it seems that she is all for taking away rights that women in this country have fought for years to acheive.

You don't like the idea of birth control? Fine. You don't have to use it. You think abortions are wrong? Fine. You don't have to get one. That is your choice, one that you have the freedom to make. Don't you dare try to take away that same freedom of choice from anyone else.

Everyone is always talking about China and their reproductive laws. You think China's bad, just wait until someone like Palin ends up in a position of power.

The Republican ticket seems like a comedy of errors this season. For President, you've got some fanatical jacktard who's CLEARLY clinically insane. Because it's a good idea to give crazy people The Button. For VP, you've got some half-brained twit who knows jack-all about how to run anything. I've read that during her little stint as mayor, she managed to rack up a $22 million dollar deficit.

I just wish the Democratic ticket excited me at all. It doesn't. Damn me for actually having a passing understanding of economics.

Freedom's becoming a thing of the past around these parts, darlin'. This country's gonna get to a scary place before too long.

I watched People vs larry Flyn last night.. And there major parts in that movie which relate today...
THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY!!
Choice is the major part of that freedom

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

I'm with you, my favorite was "Al-Qaida terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it."

Sorry I am a big fan of the constitution.

I do agree about it being a private matter -- the daughter's life, that is -- but the FACT of the daughter's pregnancy is a giant wake-up call, saying that this woman does not pay attention to what's around her. She advocates abstinence-only education, when her daughter is living proof, RIGHT UNDER HER NOSE, that it DOESN'T WORK.

*grumble*

That is definitely a fact, but I stil give super-special kudos to Obama for trying his best to be above familial commentary like that. Hey hey.

There was speculation that Sarah's new-born son Trig was actually her daughter Bristol's baby, since in most shots of the family, Bristol's the one holding the child. Sarah distilled that notion by announcing Bristol's current pregnancy - like putting out a grease fire with alcohol. *rolls eyes*

I am right there with you on the strangulation thing; maybe a near death experience would knock some sense into her.

Dood. I'm right there with you.

There's something about her that doesn't rub me the right way.

AND...her husband works for an oil company. Say goodbye to energy research.

Scaaaaary times.

Abstinence-only education??? Do people have a memory wipe at 35 that completely erases what it was like to be a teenager?

Banning birth control?? What, all forms? I'm going to have to read into that statement because it sounds a lot like she's pro-STDs. Just kill off all those sinners who have sex before marriage, that'll learn 'em.

And the abortion thing? It's the woman's body, DO NOT start trying to think you can dictate what she can or can't do with it.

But I also wish people could understand that pro-choice and pro-abortion do not mean the same thing. I'm all about responsibility. Don't wait until you're 8 months pregnant and go "whoops". Get induced, give the baby up for adoption. But if something goes wrong despite being careful? By all means, make the decision for yourself, and do it *early*. No one else should be able to make it for you.

I couldn't agree more(lol, in fact I posted yesterday on this)

I did watch last night, and at first she seemed a very strong woman and had a few good things to say...then she got going and was mudslinging as much as any other politician(and never really did tell anything about what she things for important stuff). Strong in the WRONG way is what I decided, of course my gut already knew it!
