Anyone else use Firefox?
Jan. 19th, 2008 11:54 amI need some assistance from those of you who possess more computer knowledge than I do.
My computer is having some major issues with Firefox, and I have no idea why. I un-installed and re-installed the latest version, and am still having the same issues.
Every time I ask it to do something, whether it be to navigate to a new site, or whether I click on a field in a form to type something, the program stops responding, and my CPU usage jumps to over 50%. Once Firefox finishes what it's doing, everything is fine and it works well until I ask it to do something more complicated than scroll. Sometimes even THAT freezes it up.
IE 7 works just fine, but I really don't trust Microsoft, and I'd like Firefox to cut this shit out and work properly again.
I'm posting this from Rich's laptop, which is on the same network as my computer, and is running the same version of Firefox. I'm not having any problems at all.
My fear is that my computer is reaching the end of its lifespan or something.
Any thoughts?
