I'd bet money that's a Starfire Claymore... you can tell by the teardrop-shaped pomell and the slight upturn to the ends of the crossguard. and it's not brand new either, since they are currently wrapping with blue/grey suede I think... and stopped using brown a few years ago.

how many years has it been since I worked there?

I don't have a problem with them banning the pic... If he wants a garb pic, just lose the sword for it...

I'm all for free speach, but this is hardly an inappropriate venue for it. Maybe their yearbook is different, but senior photos at my school were a formal affair. I would argue for him being in the candids or ad space. Maybe vote him "Most likely to dress funny on weekends".

Kind of amusing the school mascot runs around with (I'm guessing) a flintlock, though. :)

He probably trucks down to Tux once a year. Not only is he sporting Starfire. From the looks of things, thats a Bald Mt. cup holder, and an Elderitch belt.

Hmmmm... well, on one hand, I wouldn't want someone to be able to pose with an AK-47...

on the other hand...I bet they'd allow the marching band/color guard to pose with the sabers/rifles that they use in shows.

They have a good point about the theater if they allow that then they should allow the starfire ( which a a real stage safe combat weapon) futhermore do they have a fencing team? did they pose with foils?

re-dicking-fuckulous. i dont care if the kid did have an ak47, maybe even some jimmy walker style dyn-O-mite!!! on his chest. he only gets one senior picture, let it be somethin he can show his kids and say "thats who i was back at that time". anything goes. nice sword though, definitely.
