Tra la la la la....

Went up to NP on Sunday so that Rich and I could hang out, and he could teach me a little about playing with sharp shiny things, aka swords. I am proud to say that I now know (sort of) how to use a rapier. And daggers.
We went to this gaming store in Pougkeepsie, and I spent ten bucks on pretty sparkly dice. :)
Rich got me a copy of D&D E-Tools for guess how much? Forty dollars? Thirty? Wrong! FREE! Woohoo! And it's all pretty, and it does all kinds of neat stuff, and, and, WOW! Although it has issues calculating skill points, but I e-mailed WotC, and I hope they can fix it.
He also gave me PDF files of the core books, and the Oriental book, and all kinds of fun stuff. Yay Rich!
As a result of this adventure, I've decided that I want to purchase a rapier. All I need now is money.
I need a job. Anyone want to hire me? I'll do anything! Well, *almost* anything...

Hmmm...a rapier, hmm? Kewl. Rapier is fun... this means that maybe we can play with [practice] ones someday :-)
Hugs,
Bruce

Date: 2003-06-19 08:37 am (UTC)Yeah, Rich managed to find me a pirated copy of E-tools. It's all pretty and stuff. I think I must have bounced around the house for a good twenty minutes after I saw all the cool stuff I can do with it. :) (I know, it doesn't take much to make me happy.)
The PDF's are all 3rd ed. Somebody actually had enough time on their hands to scan the entire thing, including the front and back covers. It's kind of sad, but it means I get pretty toys. :)
I haven't really had time to look at the oriental book yet, being that I've been busy trying to pull a cohesive campaign together. But it looks pretty...
I'd love to practice swords with you! Recently, Billy offered to teach me how to fence, too. Now I just need money, with which to purchase a sword... And then I have to decide which sword to buy... Hmmm...This might take a while...
Love & Candy,
Leslie ;)
