Dad Update

He's home, he's fine. Apparently, he wanted to drive himself home. After general anesthetic.

Yeah, right.

According to the doctor, it was only a 4mm stone, but his urethra is so scarred from previous stones, that it wouldn't have been able to pass. They can do amazing things with lasers nowadays, though, so all is well.

I believe he has several more smaller stones, but if (and this is a BIG if) he does as the doctor says, he should be fine.

My only concern is that he's going to try and sneak some Tylenol PM tonight. Bad. Idea. I should go hide those....

While he was there, did they yell at him for the blood pressure issues? I kinda hope so...

My grandmother says that passing kidney stones is a thousand times worse than childbirth. She would know too, she's had 3 of each...

I have no idea. I, personally, was not there. From the mood he was in when he got home, they may well have. He always gets grumpy when someone tells him he's not healthy.

Yeah, I've heard it's the only way that men can experience anything near childbirth.

Glad all went well! *hugs* all you and your Dad. Yell at him if you have to, to not do things he's not supposed to. It's so hard raising parents these days. ;P
