So I have to write a term paper for my stupid Writing Therapy course. The topic? "Writing is the best therapy." 2500-3000 words.
I thought this entire course was bullshit. I got absolutely nothing but frustration out of it. The teacher was an idiot. It seemed like the rest of the class actually needed therapy, and were using the course as such.

I don't need therapy. I need three credits. I don't think writing is the best therapy, especially not talking to an imaginary bird in your head for an hour.

How the hell am I supposed to write 2500 words about how writing therapy is wonderful when I hate it?

Can you disagree? That topic sounds pretty opinionated. That's not the word I'm looking for, I know, but it's the closest thing that comes to mind. Anyway, "the best" therapy? Too one sided. (Yes, that might be the word.)

No, you make perfect sense. I am given and opinion, and I need to use 2500 words to defend it. No, we can't disagree, and no, we can't use outside sources. My solution? Bullshit the entire thing. I mean, my teacher doesn't know the difference between April and August, I don't think she'll notice six or seven pages of complete donkey poo.

My condolences. They should be teaching you how to think critically in college, not spout the party line, so to speak.
