OMG SQRLS!
Jun. 4th, 2008 07:56 pmIn my parents' front yard there are two very large, very old silver maple trees. One of these trees has a former woodpecker nest in it, which is now inhabited by a family of squirrels.
We think the babies have moved out on their own already, but here's Mommy and Daddy. We watched them frolic and play on the lawn for about a half an hour last Sunday. My favorite is when they bury the peanuts, then pat down the ground over them.
At one point, one of them had come up and looked right in the window at us. I didn't get a shot of that, but it was very cute.
This was filmed through the window screen, so it's not the best quality, but it's still cute:
