Tips FTW!

Yesterday, I once again managed to make triple (what I'm told is) the standard actors' salary at NYRF. The next time someone wonders why I won't audition for that gig, there's your answer.

Today I figured out that, given an average tip of one dollar, approximately seventy one percent of my customers have been tipping me this year.

Awesome.

better gimmicks, more freedom, competititon that does not involve larger pointed sticks(unless you count thorns but we strip most of em off) we hold and keep secrets for all of faire too...i am surprised that the history channel hasn't done a documentary show on us in the vein of deadliest catch and ice road truckers...I can think of 130 more reasons to be a roseseller over an actor...

Point being, though, I went to acting school with some of those kids. Now I'm "just a rose girl," but I make triple what they do on a regular basis. I find this highly entertaining.

I don't know if they'd do a special on us. The patrons won't kill us if we don't do our job right...

We make seventy five cents per rose, plus tips. So, if you sell one hundred roses, you get paid seventy five dollars. If seventy one percent of your customers tip, that means you make one hundred forty six dollars for the day. Plus, there's a ten dollar daily bonus for the top seller, a twenty five dollar perfect attendance bonus, and a twenty five dollar punctuality bonus, (which I am SO not getting!)

Now, I sell a heck of a lot of roses. Some of the others...not so much. lord_pendulous is pretty good, too. He beat my all time record yesterday, but I assure you that won't last long. ;)

Basically what I'm saying is, there isn't a limit to how much or how little you make. Not everyone does as well as myself or [Unknown site tag], though, so don't use us as a gauge. 'Cause we're just that awesome.

When KISS started as a band in 1973 they decided that they were the greatest rock band ever. Before they played a show they held this attitude! Now because of a rocking live show and sheer attitude 30+ years later the kiss army numbers in the millions. Which includes a midget kiss cover band. Now take into account that they have only had one single go number one and it was a ballad.

You and I are the KISS of the rose world. Cept we have more days at the top of the charts.
