^_^ Geeks make me cry with joy. How... utterly Cute. Kudos too for them getting the whole bridal party to wear those headbands apparently for a really long time
I mean, I *love* The Lord of the Rings, but I don't want to have Gandalf marry me.
Sometimes these theme weddings are taken too far, I think.
It may be partially because I find KD somewhat terrifying, but I think they could have done the same theme but made it a bit...classier? More classic? I don't know.
KD is definitely kind of terrifying in many regards, especially the big old rainbow king in the sky thing. O_O but it is hysterical sometimes to watch. It could have been done more classy- sure; but this is probably a very young couple who didn't have a lot of money and bonded _somehow_ over the game; scary as that might sound; and wanted to have fun at their wedding. (Or they saw the invitation on a website and thought to themselves 'that would be a great theme!' LOL)
I don't know if you went to the photographer's site and watched the slide show of the whole shebang? They seem to have had fun, and they have some cute pictures sans foam head-knocker thingies-- particularly i like the one of the bride in her striped knee highs and chucks. There is obviously a lot of love; from the pictures, so, i guess the scary/low budget factor kind of pales against it. I never understood most video games anyways... ;-)
