Rock on!
Just spoke with Karen, the district manager of the store I had the incident in on Saturday. She was VERY apologetic, said that is definitely NOT the level of customer service that is standard in that company, promised to reprimand the employee I dealt with, and is sending me a free package of underwear. She said that my mother and I will not have any problems in the future, should we choose to continue shopping there.
When things like this work out how they should, it makes me very happy. :D
Saturday wasn't all bad, of course.
The Aerosoles outlet was having a buy one, get one 50% off sale. For less than the cost of one pair of shoes, I got two!
Aerosoles are my absolute favorite shoes. They're cute, ever so comfy, and most of the time they fit me really well. (THAT's saying something. I have small, narrow feet with high arches. It's not easy to find shoes that fit me properly.) There was one pair of high-heeled, open backed mules, (see them here,)
that I absolutely loved, but alas, none of the sizes would have fit me properly.
Mom and I went to Applebees and we both had the California Shrimp Salad. Lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, grilled shrimp, and avocado dressing. Mom had egg on hers, but I opted out of that. It was scrumptious! Pair that with a Pomegranate Margarita, and I was a happy girl.
Sunday was invented for sleeping in, but apparently no one told the firemen that, so they had a loud-drumming parade outside our window at ten thirty in the morning. Since we were up, we went and got bagels.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing in our newly air-conditioned apartment. :D

I *almost* bought a pair of bright purple sandals, but they didn't have my size, and while I might have gotten away with the size below, that style wasn't on sale. I didn't want to pay fifty bucks for one pair that didn't quite fit, when I could get two for less than that!
You should come with next time if you have monies! I got a hundred twenty dollar pair of boots for TWELVE BUCKS there one time.

and i had to forage for fans. the ac in the living room is balls. and it's so hard to get air from jared's room to filter into the house, and i have to keep MY room door closed cause absinthe's an asshole. i think i'm gonna lock him in the bathroom for a bit and see if i can get some air circulation going that way.
