Nalgene to pull products containing BPA.

(This is a follow-up to this entry.)

I went out and bought a BPA-free water bottle this weekend, and the guys at EMS said, "So that article this week has you scared too, huh?" I told them I wasn't scared, just cautious. They told me that they trusted Nalgene, and Nalgene said that their bottles were safe.

Well, look what Nalgene just announced!

That answers that then. Time to retire my pretty blue bottle and go back to Rubbermaid. Oh well, it didn't fit in the cup holder of the Civic anyway.

yeah, but they didn't actually admit anything... just that pressures from consumers are leading to this... basically it's publicity and a 'just in case' thing...

that is one of the projects that I work on in the lab. I work to try and figure out how much plastics increase the inflammation level in premature (25-38 week) babies.
