Flying Fox  If you like jasmine, this is for you!  Smells VERY strongly of jasmine.  As a body wash, it's pretty good.  Left me decently soft, though I'm not sure if I'm keen on the smell.  (Probably won't buy)

LUSH List

Since I'm doing a whole lot of nothing today, I fully updated and edited the list of stuff from LUSH I've tried. I even came up with my very own rating system, as follows:

Would/will definitely buy (again)
Would/will buy (again)
Might buy (again)
Probably wouldn't buy (again)
Won't buy (again)

This master list will be updated periodically.  In theory.  ;)

Travelling

For future Manhattan/LUSH excursions, I have developed the following plan. I'm posting it here for my own reference.

Off-peak round trip tickets from the Nanuet train station are twelve dollars. According to the website, the ride takes less than an hour and a half, and drops you at Penn Station. From there you would take the subway to Union Square. At two dollars each way, the total would be sixteen dollars per person, with minimal gasoline expenditure.

The parking garage on West 3rd between MacDougal and 6th is approximately thirty dollars for up to ten hours, including tax. It takes approximately 1/4 of a tank of gas in my car to get to the city and back. Then, there's tolls.

Therefore, if I have a car full of people to split the parking fee, tolls and possibly gas, driving into the city is more cost effective. If it's just myself and one or maybe two other people, the train is the better option.

Mommy and I have plans to go into the city on Saturday so that we may visit a LUSH store. I am so very excited!

Have any of you been to more than one? Which is your favorite? I've only been to the one in Union Square, so I have no idea if any of the others are any better or worse.

Tasha's going to a big Forumite ONLY party in Santa Monica on the 29th, and she wants to know if she can pick anything up for anybody. Shipping from Tasha is bound to be quicker than LUSH's mail order, and she might be able to score Easter Eggs, if anyone wants.

Let me know before the 28th, and we'll make arrangements.

I have converted Tasha to a LUSHIE all by myself, in less than twenty four hours. I e-mailed her yesterday, telling her that since she's so keen on eating healthy and organic foods, she should do the same with her bath products.

This morning, I opened my e-mail to find no less than THREE e-mails from her regarding LUSH. "ONE OF US! ONE OF US!"

She found this recipe for making bath jelly. It looks like fun, especially if you have kids. Heck, I might try it myself!

Bath Jelly

1 packet of Unflavored gelatin 15g (1tbs)
1 tsp of Salt
1/2 cup of Liquid soap
3/4 cup of Water
Food Coloring
Fragrant oils or essential oils
Plastic storage jar with lid

<30 minutes Most Ages

Bath jelly is a fun alternative to bath gel and can be found in all the popular bath shops such as Lush.
This Lush soap recipe is perfect for kids.

Empty the packet of gelatin into a bowl and set aside. Boil 3/4 cup of water using a saucepan or kettle.
Carefully pour the hot water into a mixing bowl and mix it with the gelatin powder. Let the gelatin dissolve completely.
Next pour the liquid soap into the gelatin mix.
Add 2 drops of food coloring into the mix and also add your fragrance oil.
Add about 5 drops and stir it very gently so the bubbles do not become too agitated.
Add any remaining ingredients.
Pour the mix into a clean storage container and allow to set for several hours in the refrigerator.
Add a small toy into the Jelly before it sets to give the kids an incentive to get to the bottom of the Jelly soap.
Dispose of the jelly after several weeks or if mold is present. Avoid mold by keeping it in an airtight container in a cool place at all times.
Add a plastic spoon to the jar to make use easier.

HOW TO USE :
Place a small amount of jelly under warm running water to use.
For firmer Jelly that you can slice. Add 3 tsp of gelatin to the above ingredients.

She's planning on going to a party at LUSH in Santa Monica soon, and she's going to call me from the store. :D I'm so jealous, they're opening a store less than a mile from her house at some point in the future.

BWAHAHAHAHA...Lushies shall take over the world, and smell good doing it!

I just wrote to LUSH, telling them that should put a store in the Palisades Center, or at the very least in Rockland County or the immediate area. I told them that I'd be first in line for a part-time job, and they could pay me in product!

::crosses things::

A friend of mine called White Castle a few months back and told them that they needed to put one in Middletown, and they sent him a letter last week informing him that they were doing so. Here's hoping LUSH does the same!

Rich is at the Orlando airport, and he found a Lush store! He's picking me up some samples, and maybe a present!

Even better, I get to see him tonight! ::Dances::

where the "One of us! One of us!" line that I chant at mah Lushies comes from?

Here.

It's a good movie, even though it was banned for a number of years. They used genuine circus freaks and deformed people in the cast, not special effects of make up. It's about the only place you'll ever see an armless and legless man roll, light, and smoke a cigarette.

Thank you!

Addiction

When Lush says "Bath Bomb," they mean Bath BOMB! Holy crap!

I tried the Dream On bomb that I got for my birthday last night. After May Faire, my muscles were demanding a nice long soak. I kind of expected it to sit on the bottom of the tub and fizz happily away, but no! The instant I dropped it in the water, there was a big "SWOOSH" and it was like my bath was boiling! Then, the bomb proceeded to swim around the tub fizzing madly until it was fully disolved. It smelled so nice, and it made me all kinds of soft.

I followed it up with my Schnuggle, and I slept like a baby. Awesome. Truly awesome.
